That Festive feeling

Hellooo

So this is my first blog post! Now, when I first decided to do a blog I didn’t think that I would be starting with a Christmas/sparkle theme, but you know I needed to get it started and I thought better now than never. These two outfits are from the Christmas ball and my parents ‘all that glitters’ themed Christmas party. These aren’t so much of an everyday look, more of a get you into the Christmas spirit look and I hope it inspires you for any up and coming events during this holiday season.

This first look is from the Christmas ball; this is a simple red velvet dress (Urban Outfitters) that just screams Christmas to me, I absolutely love the crossover detailing at the back as it gives something more to the dress. I complimented it with black open-toed heels (Aldo) as they pair well with this already classy look. For me, these aren’t that high, as I wear heels often but I would also suggest wearing it with little boots or a kitten heel if you tend to go with flats. Going for a smaller heel is best because the dress is particularly short, this is also to bear in mind, especially if you are on the taller side. I’ve also decided to wear it with a red lip (Russian Red), as it tied the outfit altogether and gives the outfit more of that wow factor. I always tend to go for that ‘less is more’ ideology when picking jewellery, so I’m only wearing some little sparkly studs in my ears as I don’t want to take much away from the dress.

My second look is a bit more out there and definitely with the theme of the party ‘all that glitters’. My ideas behind this look aren’t much more than ‘let’s be as extra as possible’ so that’s what I did. First I went for these silver flares that I found on eBay, I’m not able link them as there was only one pair but these are (similarMy lovely sequenced top is from urban outfitters (similar)and I will say that they have been killing it with the festive sparkly clothing, so defo check out urban outfitters if you are in the market for glitter, sparkles, sequences etc. I've gone simple with the shoes and chosen these's nude heels from Miss selfridge (Similar) They go well as they aren't too much of a statement but just tie the outfit togeather, while adding a bit of height.
